▶ How to play:
The game plays out on a grid with Bloxx & Targets (flashing chequered squares). There are four different types of Bloxx and they may or may not have a gem attached to them. The aim is to get Gem⋅Bloxx onto each Target in the fewest moves possible by combining swipe and rotation gestures.
▷ Ruby⋅Bloxx move continuously until they are obstructed.
▷ Aqua⋅Bloxx move continuously until obstructed, but leave a trail of clones behind them. The clones behave exactly like the original. This can be used to your advantage to reach previously unobtainable locations, but can also pollute the grid, so choose your moves wisely!
▷ Jade⋅Bloxx only move one square at a time. They will push any number of adjacent Bloxx one square along in whichever direction they are moved.
▷ Pearl⋅Bloxx are affected by gravity. If they are resting against a wall, you can move them one square left or right. Once they have an empty space below, they will fall.
▷ This game utilises device orientation. This means that you can affect gameplay by rotating the device. The Pearl⋅Bloxx fall downwards but you can rotate the device so they fall in a different direction. Four orientations are used; portrait, landscape & their opposites. So the Pearl⋅Bloxx can fall in four directions, depending how you have the device orientated.
▷ Grip tiles will stop Bloxx in motion. For instance, if a Pearl is falling onto a Grip, it will hold the Pearl for one move.
▷ Holes will remove Bloxx from play. Use them wisely to remove obstructions.
▷ All grids must start in the landscape orientation. If you use the quick restart button, the game will ask you to rotate the device to landscape to begin gameplay.
▷ As each level begins, you see a gold star with a number in the centre. This number is the maximum moves allowed to get a gold star. The other icon is to inform you that the grid has rotation enabled or disabled. To add variety and more thought to puzzles, grids are either rotatable or static.
▷ When you begin each grid you will see a restart icon and a move counter. Use the restart icon to quickly retry the grid if you make a mistake.
▶ Controls:
▷ Use a swipe gesture to move Bloxx. Place your finger onto the block and swipe in the direction you want it to go.
▷ Use a three finger tap to access the in-game menu. From there you can quit, restart or continue.
▷ Tap the restart button to quickly restart the grid.
▶ Tips:
▷ If you are having trouble getting the device to recognise the orientation, tilt the device upwards so the direction of in-game gravity points to the floor.
▷ If you have less Gem⋅Bloxx than targets, then the restart icon will pulse with an exclamation mark. This is informing you that the level cannot be completed. Tap the restart icon to try again.
